Lost my biggest deal to date last week.
MONDAY UNFILTERED
Absolutely stings but when you know you gave it your all, you can take solace in that.
On to the next one.
CONTENT OF THE WEEK

1st Touch – Center of the Wheel – Prospecting Approach
The entire foundation to my outreach relies on my 1st touch.
The center of your outreach wheel is putting together a strong, first email with a relevant observation.

If you nail this first step, you can continue to reference it in all your ongoing outreach steps.
Cold calls… this observation can be your pitch you pull up
Voicemail… this observation can be your hook to get them to read your email
LinkedIn Direct message… this observation will be your hook to have them respond
Find an observation:
– Spend ~5 min on research
– Try: LinkedIn profile, company LinkedIn recent posts, Google News “company name,” website, recent website blog posts
Keys:
– Ensure the first ~10 words are punchy
– No email open = No meeting set
– The more relevant your observation is to your offering, the better

My entire Outbound strategy starts with that first message.
Next, you need to use this in future touches, LI messages, cold calls, etc.
Keep hitting the great observation home.
P.S. If this was helpful, full Systematizing Outbound broken down in my 51-page playbook now available!
