Voicemails Still Work (and why you do them wrong)
Haters say that people don’t check their voicemail.
I agree most people do not. I also agree that a prospect is unlikely to call you back.
But there’s a different reason I always leave voicemails.
They are super high ROI on the time/effort it takes, versus the payoff.
But there’s one major problem.
People are using the wrong CTA on them.
Stop asking for a prospect to call your cell back.
Instead, ask them to find your great email you sent.
Lead with credibility and spark intrigue for them to find your note.
If your first email is strong and has great research, keep referencing back to it.
Prospects tell me all the time they responded later to an email because they felt compelled to.
And that I put a human voice behind the sender name.
I leave a quick and dirty voicemail every time I call.
Zero effort, and a pretty high ROI.
Have some fun with them.
